Fuel injection does away with chokes completely. The airflow, with the throttle closed, it metered by an Idle Air Control motor (IAC). These motors move a cone in and out to maintain ~800RPM idle.

I keep "seafoam" in the fuel, and this seems to keep this issue from returning.
