The 870 would sometimes double feed and jam the gun till cleared. I never did have any problems with the 37s other then a sore shoulder once in while. I always liked the bottom feed & ejection on the Ithaca 37. Kept dirt/debris out of the action and the empties were always in a neat pile at your feet.
